has been in the Art & Drafting Supply business since the late 1970's with it's original founding partner and same local family ownership still in place. Penco started out as The Pen Company selling general
writing pens (like Pilot Razor Points, and Pentel Rolling Writers) door-to-door in office buildings in the Twin Cities. It evolved quickly into a full
service graphic art & drafting supplier, and then to a full scale general art supplier
as well. Many of the offices called upon
were ad agencies, graphic design firms, corporate art departments, and architects
who continually asked if Penco could supply them with all their design product needs.
